Emma Jean Kemp
DescriptionEmma works in a variety of mediums and comes from a conceptual school of thought yet embraces the traditional skills and mastery of craft in the creation of her work. Emma's work appeals to the senses, speaking directly to the viewer; her evocative sculptures explore the intrinsic aspects of being human, whilst presenting a beautifully crafted and designed piece.
The context of the figures is a characteristic element of Emma's practice: the custom made plinths help the figures to interact with their surroundings and portray a narrative. These plinths are playful additions to the figures, making them unique.
