2012 Gardener’s Year: In
addition to the RHS Flower Shows there are fabulous County Shows and
Local Flower Shows throughout the country, many in the grounds of some
of our very best historic houses and castles.

Gardens Open for Snowdrop Walks 28 Jan - 11 Mar 2012
Daily
(except Mondays) from 12 noon - 4 pm. Tearooms wil be open during the
same opening times. Admission to Gardens: £4 adults, £3 seniors,
children aged 5-15 £1 . Gardens and tearooms also open during Farmers'
Markets. Group Visits welcome by appointment.

The twenty first Hodsock Snowdrops
will officially open on Saturday 4th February when visitors will be
able to sample ‘The Drop’ – a specially commissioned ale from a local
brewery – and to commemorate the event the first tree will be planted in
Hodsock’s Diamond Jubilee Wood.
For the first time ever visitors
can enjoy tours of the house and gardens and find out what goes on
behind the scenes. Knowledgeable staff will be taking tours each day at
11am and 2pm, meeting in the Panelled Hall.
Gardening enthusiasts
can enjoy three different gardening presentations on 22nd, 23rd and
24th February with local RHS Chelsea Gold award winner Jamie Dunstan
giving talks at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on the first day. Or, if food and
crafts are more your thing enjoy the inaugural Hodsock local produce
fair where the finest local craftspeople will be exhibiting on 18th/19th
February and 25th/26th February.
Hodsock Priory and its Snowdrop
gardens are open each day from 4th February until 4th March 2012.
Admission is £5 each for all adults, £1 for children aged 6 -16 and
those under six go free. Dogs are not permitted in the gardens or house.

Snowdrop Sundays - Deene Park, Deene, Corby NN17 3EW
Sunday 12 & 19 February, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., Adults £4, Children Free
There
is always a wonderful display of naturalised snowdrops at Deene Park
with an ever increasing collection of named varieties on show for
visitors to enjoy, with some for sale. Hot and cold refreshments will be
sold in the Old Kitchen, warming up any visitor with its log fire.
