Diarmuid Gavin & Naomi Cleaver to speak at Grand Designs Live 2006 2-4 June, ExCeL London

Gardening design guru Diarmuid Gavin and design expert Naomi Cleaver will return to ExCeL London, as part of Grand Designs Live’s star-studded line-up for 2006.

Diarmuid Gavin’s innovative work has helped to make people think differently about their outside space, be it a small patio or large garden. His distinctive design gardening style makes him stand out from the crowd – creating unusual spaces that are functional and enjoyable.

Diarmuid will be sharing design tips, ideas and gardening know-how at the seminar theatre on Sunday 4 June at 12noon. Diarmuid’s seminar ‘Designing your garden for living’ will show budding gardeners how to make the most of their outside space by transforming it into another living space.

Diarmuid is currently working with the show organisers to create an inspirational gardener’s paradise within GRANDGardens – with ample opportunities to buy shrubs, flowers and leafy foliage to transform your own outdoor space.

Naomi Cleaver
While Naomi Cleaver is perhaps best known as the presenter of popular Channel 4 series’ ‘Other People’s Houses’ and "Honey, I Ruined the House" she is also a much sought after design consultant and passionate promoter of the very best in design.

The woman behind countless interior design projects – from private homes to restaurants and retail environments – each of Naomi’s projects is distinguished by both a disciplined rigour and subversive wit.

Naomi will be hosting a debate between leading figures from the world of interior design on the subject of ‘Creating the Perfect interior’ on Saturday 3 June at 3pm. The seminar will examine current trends in interior design and provide useful tips on transforming your own space.

Diarmuid and Naomi will join Kevin McCloud, other experts and celebrities as part of the impressive Grand Designs Live seminar programme – full details to be announced shortly.
