WelcomeThe C.G.A. is a group of independent nurseries working together in Carmarthenshire to promote Horticulture in this beautiful county, the Garden of Wales.
When we gathered together all the independent growers of the County, we realised what an interesting group of people we had, with nurseries as diverse as the landscape, offering a range of plants
from alpines through a huge selection of perennials
, trees, and water plants
to specialist growers of auriculas, hollies, fruit trees, walnuts, snowdrops and basket plants
– to name a few. Many of the plants
are unusual and occasionally rare, but many are old favourites.
During the year we will be hosting a number of plant fairs where you can meet all of these growers together. You can find the dates and venues for the fairs and the addresses of all the nurseries
, with opening times and visiting arrangements on this website. When you come to a plant fair, nearby you can also visit the beautiful gardens of Aberglasney at Llangathen and the National Botanical Garden of Wales at Middleton Hall, Llanarthne.
