We are a small family run nursery located in the idyllic village of Tissington near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, which is in the heart of the Peak District National Park
We grow a wide range of plants, focusing on those which are choice, unusual or just hard to find!

The nursery has been established for a number of years but changed hands in January 2006. It is housed in the estate’s walled Old Kitchen Gardens and still has many original features including two Victorian glasshouses, outbuildings and Pump House.

The nursery grows many thousands of plants each year including many that are unusual and difficult to find. Some are only available in small quantities and varieties we have for sale vary throughout the year. Each year the plants we offer change as new forms become available and as we increase our stock of harder to propagate varieties. We pride ourselves in the quality of our plants and this is reflected in the many positive comments we receive from our customers.

I have a passion for Herbaceous Perennials and this is reflected in what we grow. Particular favourites are Achilleas, Geraniums and Heleniums. We do however have a good range of alpines, herbs and shrubs.

Opening Times

The nursery is open from March 1 until October 31.

We are open 7 days a week from 10am until 5pm including Bank Holidays.

If you are travelling a long distance it is advisable to ring first as occasionally things may arise and we are unable to be at the nursery.
