Cashel House Hotel, one of Connemara’s most gracious mid-19th century country houses and since 1968 is a luxury 4 star family run hotel which stands at the head of Cashel Bay.
Situated in the heart of Connemara on the West coast of Ireland Cashel House Hotel is set in 50 acres of award winning gardens containing flowering shrubs and woodland walks.
Luxury and tranquillity are offered to discerning guests in an atmosphere created by turf and log fires and a friendly and helpful staff and by tastefully decorated rooms. Beaches, golf, horse riding, sea fishing, salmon and trout fishing are available in the vicinity. The hotel has its own tennis court and private beach. We can arrange guided walks on any of the Twelve Pins and all other areas of the Connemara Coast.
Cashel House is also the home of the Connemara Pony & Sport House Stud Farm where we breed and export Connemara Ponies all over the world.

The gardens at Cashel House Hotel are a place of profound beauty, a place of meditation and relaxation, which benefit from the warmth of the gulf stream. Blossoms galore welcome spring in all its glory! Take a guided tour, or potter at your leisure. Benches are located throughout the garden for rest and reflection.
Withdrawn and quietly secluded, the gardens are a delight with their enchanting cultivations of exotic and exquisite flowering shrubs – many imported from Tibet – including rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and the rare beautiful magnolias. Lists of rare trees are available at reception.
Our guests may walk along the seashore, through woods and streams and eventually onto the summit of Cashel Hill where the breathtaking views of sea, sky and coastline are well worth the climb.
We also boast our own organic herb garden. No chemicals are needed to encourage growth, as a mixture of seaweed from the beach combined with a few secret ingredients, are used as a magnificent fertilizer!

Driver’s Guide
To travel to Cashel House from Galway City follow the signs for Clifden on the N59 through Moycullen, Oughterard, Maam Cross and Recess. 1.5 Miles after Recess you will see a left turn signposted for Cashel, Carna and the Hotel. After 3 Miles on this road you will see a right turn signposted for the Hotel. We are 1.5 miles later on the right.
