WELCOME

This beautiful historic garden, surrounded by ancient parkland, deer park and lakes is set in the wonderful Worcestershire countryside with far reaching views to the Malvern Hills. It is a garden that provides the ideal day out for you and your family, allowing you and your children the dream escape from the bustle of everyday life. Our proximity to Worcester, the Malverns and the Cotswolds makes us the ideal attraction for groups.

The stunning 30 acre garden, with the Bath Stone Georgian mansion as a backdrop, provides a unique venue for your wedding reception, civil ceremony, or partnership.

There is more to Spetchley than just a garden. It can also be used for corporate hospitality, promotional and photographic shoots and filming.

There is also a wonderful tea room, where you can buy a light lunch or full, traditional afternoon tea. We hope you enjoy your visit to Spetchley and thank you for taking time to look at our website

THE GARDEN.

Come and enjoy Spetchley, one of Britain’s best kept secrets! Just three miles east of the beautiful cathedral city of Worcester and surrounded by glorious countryside, is the beautiful and romantic garden of Spetchley Park.
Virtually hidden from the road, and largely unaltered in the last century, this lovely 30 acre Victorian paradise, boasts an enviable collection of plant treasures from every corner of the globe including one of the finest and biggest private collections of peonies.

Clumps of wild primrose push up randomly through sapphire carpets of crocus and swathes of sunny daffodils in spring, with billowing borders of blowsy perennials and tender exotics in summer, and a palette of burnt orange, ochre and fiery red in autumn.

From the first tantalizing glimpse of the garden through the tall Corsican pines that so inspired Edward Elgar, to the magnificent borders that surround the walled garden and the magnolia-fringed Horse Pool, through the Melon Yard with its olives and delicious pineapple-scented flowers, Spetchley is full of surprises.

It’s a garden of contrasts, where formal clipped hedges, rose beds and sweeping lawns meet tumbling herbaceous borders and walls festooned with rampant climbers, and where winding paths lead you from the quintessentially English to the unmistakably Mediterranean.

What better way to relax than in our excellent tea room where you can buy light lunches or traditional English teas and relax with a glass of wine or a light refreshing local cider before setting off to explore the 150 acre deer park filled with herds of red and fallow deer.

We hope you will find time to visit and enjoy these beautiful Gardens
