Description

Woolsthorpe Manor

Home of Isaac Newton

In this small 17th-century manor house, his birthplace and family home, Sir Isaac Newton formulated some of his major works between 1665 and 1667. An early edition of his Principia is on display and the orchard includes a descendant of the famous apple tree. Newton’s ideas can be explored in the hands-on Science Discovery Centre. Outside, visitors can enjoy the orchards, herb garden, farm buildings and paddocks with hens and rare breed Lincoln Longwool sheep
