Sudbury Hall

Late 17th-century house with sumptuous interiors

The decoration includes woodcarving by Grinling Gibbons, superb plasterwork and painted murals and ceilings by Louis Laguerre, and there is a fine collection of portraits. The Great Staircase is one of the most elaborate of its kind in an English house. Several rooms featured in the BBC’s Pride and Prejudice
