If you are looking to spend a week or two discovering and enjoying some of France’s finest food and countryside in a beautiful calm environment l’auberge de la forêt can provide it all, whether its an early morning walk, a visit to the local market before lunch, a snooze on the sun-filled terrace in the afternoon to aperitifs overlooking the fields as the sun sets in the evening.

Ben and Teresa moved to France in 2005. After having both worked in Peru for 4 years and then England for four years, Ben in landscape gardening and Teresa in publishing. The impetus for the move was a desire to run a guesthouse in a rural setting for people who want to enjoy the countryside and all it has to offer. The priorities of the Auberge were to have four fabulously comfortable bedrooms, all en-suite in a beautiful house that combine old rugged charm with clean pure comforts. The hospitality would revolve around food, with a fork to fork approach; half the day spent in the large organic traditional vegetable garden growing the produce, combining it with fresh local meat, cheese and wine and the other half preparing it. Evening meals would be a simple celebration of real food, both your hosts are well versed in the local cuisine and the delicacies it has to offer. Teresa and Ben both speak French, English and Spanish.
