Yvonne Innes and Olivia Harrison designed the garden that was inspired by George Harrison of the Beatles. They called it “From Life to Life – a garden for“ for which they deservedly won the Silver Guilt Flora Award. They chose the 4 areas of George’s life to depict his passion for gardening – and the influence from his father who had a allotment when George was little.
The garden was divided into four areas – and they were 1. Childhood –Liverpool area, bike, veggies, home and family 2. Wild 60’s – riots of colour, music, drugs, wild ways and intense passion 3. Maturity – the calmness, the ferns, the glass sun and the peace of that period 4. Spiritual death – the Indian influence, the water, the humour, the serenity and the memories
