Description

The Buscot & Coleshill Estates

Traditional agricultural estates encompassing villages, farms and woodland

On the western border of Oxfordshire in the heart of the Thames Valley, the Buscot & Coleshill Estates are made up of 3,035 hectares (7,500 acres) that include the attractive villages of Buscot and Coleshill, with surrounding woodland and farmland. The vernacular stone cottages in Coleshill village, along with the Home Farm buildings, are an integral part of a well-planned 19th-century model farm. A network of footpaths criss-crosses the Estates. Main visitor sites include Buscot House and garden, the Buscot Weir field adjacent to the Thames, the Iron Age hill-fort at Badbury Clump, the 13th-century monastic Great Coxwell Barn and recently restored Coleshill Mill
