Design and build service
Richard will work closely with you from initial consultation about your garden design, through planning to finished construction and planting. His sister company Key Gardencare Ltd can then provide a regular garden maintenance service to ensure that your garden is kept in first class condition.
Garden Design Consultation
Richard will visit you to discuss your needs and requirements for your garden. He will run through a comprehensive check list to cover all your likes and dislikes in order to create a design which is tailor-made for you. This initial consultation will be followed up by a fixed price quotation to prepare a detailed design for your garden. The consultation will last a couple of hours and will be free of charge. Where clients live abroad or at some great distance away then travel expenses will be agreed prior to the appointment.
The Design of your Garden
Once an order has been placed for garden design then a detailed site survey will be carried out. The design will then be taken to an outline stage when Richard will visit you again to discuss the scheme before moving in to the finished plans. This allows you to have a constant involvement in the developement of your garden. A detailed layout plan and planting plan will be drawn up which will form the basis for the costing and subsequent implimentation of the scheme.
The Construction of your Garden
After the completion of the design work, Richard will put together an itemised fixed price quote to build your garden. Over the years, Richard has put together a team of first class craftsmen who will carry out all aspects of the construction work including garden lighting and irrigation. Richard will oversee the project making sure that all areas of construction dovetail together, removing that burden from you but keeping you fully informed of progress.
The Planting of your Garden
Richard works closely with a team who source quality plants for him both from this country and Europe. The plants are delivered to the site where Richard will set them out and oversee the planting work to complete the project.
Maintenance of your Garden
Good regular maintenance is required to make sure that your garden establishes well and matures to its full potential. Richard's sister company, Key Gardencare Ltd carry out annual garden maintenance contracts to ensure that this happens. If you would like to maintain the garden yourself but need occasional help with seasonal pruning or hedge cutting then that too can be carried out. Corporate Garden Design, Build and Landscaping
Richard Key has worked on many corporate projects, planning, building and maintaining gardens for a variety of corporate clients.
These include the Oxford Belfry near Thame, Oxfordshire and Infineum, Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Corporate Garden Design, The Oxford Belfry
After acquiring The Oxford Belfry just outside Thame, Marston Hotels embarked on extensive building works to provide a new bedroom wing and first class conference facilities. The work included the design and landscaping of two large courtyards, planting all around the buildings, the installation of tennis courts and a croquet lawn
Corporate Garden Design, Infineum, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Richard worked on the Infineum gardens, terraces and cafe in Oxfordshire. He designed and built terraces, steps, areas of planting to soften an "industrial" looking building, and some design work adding Infineum's logo in crushed slate at the entrance.
