Established in 1987, JOANNE ALDERSON DESIGN is a garden and landscape design consultancy with consummate experience in all aspects of good, considered, high quality design. Designer Jo Alderson Phillips BA (Hons) Dip Hort is the winner of an RHS Silver Medal for her Chelsea debut and the prestigious BBC Best Show Garden award.
Working with a team of highly experienced landscape contractors, our gardens designed & created over the years vary from small courtyards to a 32 acre trout farm, from classical Cotswold to contemporary London, from exclusive penthouse apartments to a prestige housing development.
We value our clients and listen to their needs in order to produce bespoke schemes that fulfil dreams and aspirations. However, we are practical too and always try to work within budget.

Public spaces...
We have worked very successfully with several developers & architects in recent years on commercial projects - particularly public areas within housing developments. Schemes are across the U.K - both urban and rural & can soon be seen in Birmingham, Bristol, Rugby, London, Wales & Oxford.
We create elegant solutions in perfect harmony with their surroundings.
Working to briefs or, if required, creating our own proposals, we work with other designers, artists & suppliers to produce the ideal scheme. Detail is paramount - strict attention is paid to detail, budget and of course aesthetics.
CARPHONE WAREHOUSE
The Carphone Warehouse commissioned us to refurbish the terraces at their London headquarters. This project was sponsored by SONY ERICSSON and had to reflect the forward thinking of both companies. We brightened the space, introduced outdoor settees, permanent shading and created a much more sophisticated environment with an element of fun.
A once unattractive outdoor space is now enjoyed by all for lunches, outdoor meetings and corporate functions.
PARKER LAKE HOMES RESIDENTIAL
This is a large prestigious development comprising 32 apartments in Dunchurch. All the planting needed to have 12 month interest and was styled to match the elegant new townhouses.
The drawing shows the formal courtyards created, with avenues of trees, a refurbished lake and naturalistic area with an oak framed summerhouse.
PARKER LAKE HOMES HQ
Parker Lake were delighted with the Dunchurch scheme & invited us to create a garden for their new headquarters. This is a Georgian style building so we created an elegant design to tie in.
The design is in 2 parts - a formal area & a natural area leading onto a beautiful landscape. It includes wonderful sculptures by Neil Wilkin, reflection pools and tall grasses planted in formal fashion.
CROSBY HOMES
Crosby Homes commissioned us to design several of their residential schemes in Birmingham, Bristol & Manchester. These schemes are all public spaces & needed to be both stylish & robust.
We were commissioned to design appropriately impressive schemes to help sell the properties which we indeed did. The sculptures are by Alan Wilson of The Sculpture Workshop'.
NATIONCREST PLC
Nationcrest asked us to create a garden to suit their fabulous £2.5million property near Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire.
MENTMORE HOMES
Mentmore homes create spectacular apartments & houses in & around Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire. We have recently created 2 appropriate schemes for this company.
