Laura Antebi Wire Sculpture
Laura J Antebi is based in the west coast of Scotland and works in galvanised steel wire and recycled materials to create original and contemporary figurative,equine and wildlife sculptures. Using the wire to draw in 3 dimensions Laura captures the spiritual essence and conveys spontaneity of movement of the natural world.
Latest commission for The National Army Museum's WarHorse Fact & Fiction exhibition based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo.

Laura says of her work:
As an artist, part of my intention in creating sculpture is to communicate my appreciation of nature, the planet and it's resources, the challenge being to transform the inanimate raw material of steel into a living, breathing presence.
Graduating with a BA(Hons) Sculpture at Duncan Of Jordanstone School of Art in Dundee in 2003, Laura went on to study painting for 3 years at leith school of Art, Edinburgh
