LCpl Johnson Beharry VC and Chelsea Pensioner Charles Bigland came to the Hillier Chelsea Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in the grounds of the Royal Chelsea Hospital to promote the Help for Heroes charity and the ‘Help for Heroes’ rose.

Romsey-based Hillier Nurseries presented a cheque to the Help for Heroes charity for £15 265, which the company has raised so far by donating £5 from the sale of each and every rose. The ‘Help for Heroes’ rose is a lightly scented floribunda bearing a profusion of red double blooms on glossy dark green foliage from June through to the first frosts. The rose is available available online from or from Hillier Garden Centres.
