Landscaping:
The Landscape business is based at our Burwash Nursery, where we grow and hold plants for our landscaping work. We have developed strong links with many specialised nurseries which enables us to source a broad range of plants of the highest quality and specification. The majority of our work comes through recommendation and we rely heavily on long term customer satisfaction. As a result we rarely have to travel much further than Kent and East Sussex.
Alison and Steve are both qualified horticulturalists and have been involved with the industry since they left school - "a long time ago!" Steve worked and studied at the following prestigious units; Rochfords Nursery and Landscaping, he also trained and worked in Germany and America. He worked at highly respected nurseries/garden centres in the UK before embarking on his own venture. Qualified at Hadlow and Sparsholt horticultural colleges with distinctions from both.
Alison is originally from Dundee and studied there gaining an SCH (Dist) then at Auchincruive NDH (Merit), a year at Blooms of Bressingham ("in it's prime - fantastic experience" she said), 4 years at Sussex Country Gardens, Kingston. She went on to lecture in horticulture at Hadlow College before busying herself with 4 children. Alison works for the business including arranging free site visits, drawing up plans, giving talks and part-time lecturing at Plumpton.
