The drive from the Lodge at the front entrance to Burncoose House is about a quarter of mile long running almost due north to south with the garden going down to an area below the house where there is a pond and boggy area. At no one point does the garden exceed more than a few hundred yards in width.

Landscaping
Burncoose Nurseries offer a full landscaping service covering all aspects of hard and soft landscaping work, but our speciality is in PLANNING AND PLANTING. Since the nursery offers some 3,500 different varieties of ornamental trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants we have a wealth of expertise and alternative designs to offer USING OUR OWN PLANTS. Garden Design for mail order customers
As a back up to our mail order business we are happy to offer to produce planting lists and planting plans for customers who may live far from Cornwall.

All we need are some good photographs of the location and surrounding area together with an indication of the soil type, approximate height from the sea level, compass directions and any other relevant features together with a ground plan with a rough scale if this is available.

Packing & Delivery
Burncoose Nurseries' new custom built packing shed, which is located alongside the main customer car park became fully operational during the course of 2002. European grant aid made a major contribution to the cost of this new building work. Our team of experienced packers now have a much easier location from which to work more efficiently and process more mail orders more quickly. The packing shed has now also been fully integrated into the new office computer system.

Propagation
Burncoose Nurseries propagates a great many of the plants which it sells on the nursery and by mail order. In particular we propagate the vast majority of our Camellias, Rhododendrons, Hydrangeas and Azaleas. We also concentrate on many of the rarer and more difficult plants which feature in our catalogue and particularly on conservatory plants.
