Set up by garden designer Tresa Pulford, bluestem garden designs are characterised by strong geometry and subtle detail combined with a creative use of space.

We use a rich palette of planting that provides contrasting architectural and textural forms that breathe life into our gardens, setting the overall tone and feel of the space.

A sites natural location and conditions as well as the aspirations of the client are all important factors that are considered in our garden designs.

Based in North London, we carry out garden design work throughout London, the home counties and abroad.

Tresa Pulford, BA (Hons) Landscape Architecture, set up bluestem in 2006. She has been designing gardens and landscapes for over 10 years.

Tresa is passionate about plants and design. Her love of form, pattern and texture inspire all aspects of her work.

She has worked for a number of high profile designers including Joe Swift at his design company The Plant Room. Tresa has also produced CAD drawings for garden and nature programmes for the BBC.

Alongside her garden design work she has worked on landscape design drawings for large scale new house builder/property development sites, in both rural and urban environments, as part of the planning application process.
