A host of the region’s favourite celebrities will be in town from 13-17 June as the Midlands’ largest consumer show opens its doors at the NEC. For the first time three BBC shows – BBC Gardeners’ World Live, BBC Good Homes Live and the BBC Good Food Summer Festival – will be co-located to form one amazing lifestyle event.

Midlanders passionate about their gardens, homes and cooking will be able to seek advice from the experts including Gordon Ramsay, Alan Titchmarsh, Anthea Turner and Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen. Visitors can also sample the tastiest summer food, see the latest trends in interior designs, check out beautiful gardens and shop until they drop.

Hot off the press is the arrival of the newest feature to the 2007 event – Music and Gardens for a Summer Evening. Visitors will be able to enjoy an evening of top entertainment in the idyllic backdrop of our picturesque show gardens. A host of first class musical acts across a variety of genres, all set in our verdant show gardens, will perform each night. The perfect way to end a perfect day! This musical extravaganza will commence from 6.30pm, Wednesday through to Saturday, with a full line up of acts coming soon.

The three shows will create the biggest ever 5 day lifestyle event in the Mildands and will bring together over 900 exhibitors and over 150,000 visitors passionate about food, their home and gardening. Tickets are already on sale and moving fast. One ticket gives access to all three shows.

Each event will retain its own identity, unique features and attractions, packed with show-stopping exhibits. For the first time ever there will be themed music evenings which allow visitors to sit and picnic amongst the award winning gardens, whilst enjoying the outdoor music and entertainment. Also featuring at the show will be the 2,000 seat Supertheatre which will showcase demonstrations on food, interior design, property and gardening, as well as live performances from celebrity experts.

BBC Gardeners’ World Live in association with the Royal Horticultural Society is in its 15th year and brings together the very best in gardening.

Music & Gardens for a Summer Evening is a brand new music extravaganza, which allows visitors to enjoy an evening of top music entertainment in the idyllic backdrop of picturesque show gardens. The music evenings will run between 6.30pm-10.00pm on four evenings, from 13-16 June 2007.

The new attraction will feature at BBC Gardeners’ World Live, BBC Good Homes Live and BBC Good Food Summer Festival, which are co-located under one roof for the first time ever at The NEC, Birmingham between 13-17 June 2007.

Each evening offers a different theme hosted by a top professional music artist and special guests. There is an evening to suit every taste including Classical Music with Gardar Cortes on Wednesday 13th June, Soul and Motown Classics with Andy Abraham on Thursday 14th June, A Salute to Sinatra with Louis Hoover on Friday 15th June and ABBA Classics with Bjorn Again on Saturday 16th June.

Whilst soaking up the atmosphere and savouring the breathtaking musical performances in the stunning show gardens, you can also indulge yourself by pre-ordering a gourmet picnic basket, filled with mouth watering summer food and fine wine, completing the sensory experience.

Gardar Cortes sings with mesmorising power, grace and passion. He has supported Katherine Jenkins and was the lead role in Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End. His new album on Universal Classics has been highly acclaimed, so come along and listen to Gardar Cortes, already hailed as one of the greatest new voices in the classical world. Andy Abraham won the hearts of over 9 million X-Factor viewers each week with his incredible vocal talents and endearing personality. The release of his first album, The Impossible Dream, made chart history selling 176,689 copies in its first week and reached platinum status. Andy and his band ‘Soul Brothers’ will be getting up close and personal with his fans and performing favorites from his X-Factor days including the breathtaking, ‘Me and Mrs Jones’, hits from his first album, The Impossible Dream, and will give a taste of his new album. Andy is one of the UK’s biggest and brightest talents and will give a performance straight from the heart.

Louis Hoover plays Sinatra in the famous, ‘Rat Pack’ West End Show. If you love Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Junior and Sinatra, then this is the perfect evening for you. Louis Hoover has topped the bill of Jazz Concerts all over the world. Ronnie Scott invited him to join the elite on the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz House label and record his first solo album called ‘Louis Hoover’.

Bjorn Again are the closest thing to ABBA that you’ll ever see. All of ABBA’s greatest hits are performed by the renowned BJORN AGAIN. Their performance has been hailed as the most popular and successful act of its type in the world and has been endorsed by Benny Anderson. Come along to dance the night away and feel free to dress up in ABBA regalia.

As well as Music & Gardens for a Summer Evening, this year the three shows feature another first – a Supertheatre which seats 2,000 people. Each day celebrities and experts will be presenting live food, homes and garden related demonstrations, offering useful advice and tips.

TV favourites performing at the Supertheatre will include gardening experts Monty Don, Alan Titchmarsh, Diarmuid Gavin and Joe Swift, home experts Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Anthea Turner, Linda Barker and Oliver Heath and chefs Gordon Ramsay, James Martin, John Torode and Lesley Waters.
