Sundials
appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds on a range of different
levels—from the purely aesthetic to the scientific, from private
individuals to corporations and sports clubs, there is a sundial for
everyone.

Alastair’s
interest in sundials was triggered five or six years ago when he
thought he would like to have one in his own garden, and then he decided
to design it for himself. His idea was to take the ancient technology
of the sundial and use it to create something with a cutting-edge
contemporary appearance. The result was a series of very beautiful
sundials made from brass and stainless steel, some with marks that
record times of solstice and equinox as well as measuring out the
hours.
